The first step is to pair AncordWorks AW01 Shower Speaker with your smartphone. You have to navigate to Settings option on your smartphone and tap on Bluetooth. If the device name AW1 is not available, you can tap on the Search option below the display. You should ideally charge the speaker for over two hours using the bundled USB cable before attempting to pair with a smartphone. You should press the Power button for few seconds and you will be able to view Blue colored LED light on the front followed by a beep. The main attraction is that you can view the battery level directly below the speaker pair name on the smartphone.

The next step is to play any music or video on your smartphone. The volume level can be adjusted either using the speaker or smartphone. We could hear the sound output loudly at 100 percent. We observed that buttons are harder than competing speakers and it might be attributed to the rugged design structure. Moreover, the speaker doesn’t include voice prompts upon pressing relevant buttons.

If you are working with the speaker in a small room, you should trim the audio level to avoid disturbance to other people. The speaker got charged to 100 percent within 30 minutes and hence it’s an ideal companion during vacation time. You can even charge the speaker using the power bank. The size of the speaker is small but the sound output is huge.

The AC adapter bundled with the product package features US pin and hence it might not be useful for users residing outside the USA. We also immersed the speaker inside the water and it worked perfectly without any disruption. The only point to note is that you should close the ports flap before immersing in water. Moreover, you should not charge the speaker immediately after dipping in the water. You should let the speaker dry completely before charging.
