Microsoft pushes Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19551 to the Windows Insiders Fast Ring

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19551 for the Windows Insiders in the fast ring. The latest build is from the active development branch of Windows 10. If you install the update, you should note that the optional drivers are not installed. You can install by navigating to Settings | Update & Security | Windows Update and selecting View Optional updates option. You have to manually download the drivers.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19551 update fixed an issue that resulted in snipping not working on secondary monitors. The company also resolved a bug where Optimize Drives Control Panel was incorrectly displayed. The panel showed that the optimization wasn’t run on some devices. The latest update fixed an issue that caused Remote Desktop Connection to crash when attempting to connect to multiple sessions.

Microsoft also added a server-side fix to address the Narrator Home crash issue when selecting the What’s New button. The issue pertaining to the language defaults has ben resolved. Moreover, the reports of the comparatively larger screenshots pasted into Microsoft Outlook have been fixed.

If the candidate pane font for the Pinyin IME has reset back to default after booting, then you won’t face the error again since it has been fixed. If the Safely Remove Hardware icon has been behaving in a weird fashion, then the issue has been resolved in the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19551.

In an interesting development, Microsoft disclosed that the company is terminating Project Catnip, which is the PWA for Windows 10 Insiders. The company will not perform any external testing or public release of the Project Catnip PWA for the Windows Insiders program.
