Apple Home Pod Smart Speaker launch in India likely to be delayed due to CoronaVirus

Apple Home Pod

Amazon and Google have already launched their smart speakers in the form of the Amazon Echo and Google Mini. Now, it’s the turn of the iPhone manufacturer and the iOS developer. Apple is reportedly gearing up to release Apple Home Pod Smart Speaker and will launch in India within the next few days at a whopping price of Rs 19900. However, there could be delay because Apple has closed the manufacturing plants in China due to the rapid spread of the Novel CoronaVirus outbreak in China. Apple has already closed its manufacturing plant in China and there is no scope for the company to reopen it until the whole CoronaVirus is eradicated.

That being said, you will have to pay huge amount because the Apple Home Pod smart speakers are manufactured and sold by Apple. The Home Pod smart speaker includes a six-microphone array coupled with spatial awareness. The main highlight of the Apple Home Pod Smart Speaker is the addition of Indian Siri voices with high fidelity audio. Moreover, the sound adapts based on the location. You will receive access to Apple Music with over 60 million songs.

In a statement released to the press, Apple revealed that HomePod combines custom Apple-engineered audio technology coupled with advanced software. The smart speaker delivers a precision sound that fills the room and can be placed anywhere in your home. The high-excursion woofer included with the Home Pod Smart Speaker is housed on the top of the speaker facing upwards. This created a wide range of deep bass, which sets new benchmarks when compared with conventional speakers.

The Home Pod Smart Speaker flaunts a six-microphone array coupled with an EQ microphone. The bass will be delivered based on the room on which the smart speaker is placed. The speaker includes Apple A8 chipset, which generates less heat without compromising audio quality. Like in the case of all the smart speakers, you just need to connect with your iOS device.

Apple designs products with premium materials and you expect world-class design with the Home Pod speaker. The cost is higher just like iPhone and iPad. We have to wait and watch whether customers in India will show any interest to buy a smart speaker for RS 20000 when we have access to speakers below Rs 3000 from Amazon and Google.
