Microsoft has started to roll out Microsoft Edge Chromium version along with the Windows 10 Update. This means you will now receive fresh editions of the Edge Chromium builds via Windows 10 Update if you are part of the Release Preview ring.
The Microsoft Edge Chromium version will be available for Enterprise and Education users after the initial rollout to Window Insiders. With the new update, the existing EdgeHTML browser engine will be replaced with the Chromium engine.
The Microsoft Edge Chromium Version features new privacy features such as tracking prevention. This feature is enabled by default to limit tracking via ads and cookies. The new page layout tab enables you to choose the type of news that you would like to view on their tab screen. The Edge Chromium browser also provides support for AAD, Internet Explorer, 4K Web Streaming, PDK inking, Dolby audio including support for Chrome-based extensions. The browser also includes tight Bing integration using which you can search for content.
The Microsoft Windows Insiders preview program is an exclusive group for the beta testers community, which will get new features as and when released by the company. The upgraded version of Edge Chromium is the latest version to be added to the program. Microsoft Edge Chromium is available for both Windows and macOS devices.
