Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the next-generation Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones on March 12, 2020. Just one week ahead of the launch, the colors and specifications of the Note 9 series have been leaked in the wild. According to Ishan Agarwal, who happens to be a well-known tipster revealed that the smartphone will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants comprising of 64GB and 128GB expandable internal storage capacities. Moreover, the tipster disclosed that the Redmi Note 9 will be available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black color variants.
The upcoming Redmi Note 9 series smartphones will draw adequate processing power via the Snapdragon 720G processor. The Geekbench benchmark specifications also hinted at the integration of the Snapdragon 720G, which is designed using an 8nm manufacturing process. The end result of the advanced chipset is the enhanced battery life. The new handsets will ship with ISRO’s NaViC navigation technology.
Talking about the optics, the Redmi Note 9 and Pro models will carry a quad-camera mechanism on the rear with a 64MP primary camera sensor. We expect the addition of a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate panel. You can also expect an in-display punch-hole selfie sensor instead of the dew-drop notch display. Even though we don’t have any clear indication regarding the location of the sensor, it could be the extreme left-hand side. The design of the smartphone will be curved and the rear side features glass bank.
The Redmi Note 9 series will ship with USB Type-C fast charging technology. You will be able to charge the device within 60 minutes. According to sources, the upcoming Redmi Note 9 will probably borrow power via a 5000mAh battery. The company will release up to 12GB RAM variant but is unlikely.
