iPhone 9 launch delayed due to Coronavirus outbreak

Apple is scheduled to unveil the next-generation iPhone 9. However, the reports reveal that the mass production of the iPhone 9 has been delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. If the report turns out to be true, you can expect a delay in the launch of the iPhone 9.

The iPhone 9, which is touted as a cheap smartphone has reportedly entered the final trial production stage. As a result of the Coronavirus, there have been issues related to the supply chain. The arrival of components from partner production sites has declined due to the Coronavirus. Hence, there is a possibility that the mass production of the upcoming iPhone will be postponed until Q2 2020.

According to Apple Insiders, the upcoming iPhone 9 is also called as iPhone SE 2. Moreover, the phone has been verified at Foxconn and Pegatron’s factories. The Coronavirus outbreak has caused serious damage to the technology sector with the prices of new smartphones rising like never before. Previously, there were reports that the iPhone 9 could launch on March 31 followed by the first sale on April 3.

The 9th edition of the iPhone will flaunt a 4.7-inch display coupled with Apple A13 chipset. The design will be identical to that of the iPhone 8 and the phone will make use of the Touch ID. The rumor mill also revealed the price of the handset at $399. However, the company could lunch the device at 299 to compete with other Chinese smartphone giants.
