Huawei has released a new Huawei Watch GT 2e sporty smartwatch and Sound X wireless speaker alongside the launch of Huawei P40 series. The Huawei Watch GT 2e is designed to deliver an extended backup time, while the Sound X speaker produces 360-degree Hi-Res audio.
The Huawei Watch GT 2e features a circular AMOLED display, Huawei HiSilicon Hi1132 processor, 4FB RAM coupled with Bluetooth 5.1 support. Moreover, the watch is powered by a 455mAh battery, which is capable of delivering up to 14 days of working time upon regular usage.
The Sound X wireless speaker is manufactured in partnership with French audio company Devialet. The speaker ships with Devialet’s patented Speaker Active Matching (SAM) signal-processing coupled with push-push speaker design. The speaker reduces the vibration produced as a result of physical activities.
The Sound X is capable of producing 360-degree Hi-Res audio. The speaker also provides support for Huawei Share music streaming functionality. You can use this feature via any Huawei smartphone, which is loaded with EMUI 10.1. Even though you can share audio with the speaker via Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth, the company has recommended Huawei Share.
The Huawei Watch GT 2e will be available for purchase in April for GBP 199. You can expect the sale of the Sound X wireless speaker by the start of Summer. However, the company is yet to reveal the price details for the speaker. We will monitor the developments and keep you updated.
