The HDR10+ includes support for 1400-nits. The OxygenOS will be refreshed in such a way that it offers even smoother and faster usage with several optimizations. Ishan also claims that the device will offer support for Haptics 2.0, which will set new benchmarks in the smartphone industry. He also embedded an emoticon against Haptics 2.0 mention. We don’t have any information about the source of the leak but his findings were found to be credible in the past.
The company would normally unveil the new series by May middle. However, the launch could be delayed due to the ongoing 21-day lockdown because of COVID-19. The current lockdown in India is expected to continue until April 14. If the Government decides to extend the lockdown beyond April 14, then it will have far-reaching repercussions and big jolt to the economy. OnePlus will have to reschedule the launch event beyond August.
Even if OnePlus decides to conduct the launch event during June-July time frame, you can expect an online event instead of in-person. This is to ensure the safety of the attendees. Going forward, we are not expecting any company to conduct physical launch events in 2020 till the COVID-19 cases are cleared.
