Microsoft is scheduled to transition Office 365 to Microsoft 365 with new features, improvements and subscription plans. With a current subscriber base of 38 million users, the Redmond-based software giant is gearing up to solidify its position with a wide range of features. The newly launched Microsoft 365 Personal and Family package provides support for up to 6 people and will be available starting April 21. While the personal package is priced at $6.99 per month, the Family plan costs $9.99 per month. The current Office 365 users will be migrated to new plans automatically.
Word improvements
With Microsoft 365 subscription, you will be able to work with Editor for Word, which is an advanced proofing tool. The editor for Word will also perform regular grammar and spellchecks including the ability to provide high-level suggestions. The rewrite option enables you to modify the entire sentence. In the current digital world, it’s important to maintain Copyscape content. The Microsoft 365 includes a similarity checker, which is used to prevent plagiarism.
PowerPoint and Excel features
The PowerPoint included with Microsoft 365 includes Presenter Coach. You will be able to practice delivery of a speech around your slides including monitoring and rectification of actions such as stuttering and monotone speech. The upcoming refreshed Excel will help you to keep track of your finances easily.
You can import transactions by providing your banking details. However, the new features will be available for customers based in the US. Microsoft will provide native support for data types such as food, places, and movies sourced via Wolfram Alpha database. As a user, you will be in a position to create columns with Pokemon.
Comprehensive templates
The Outlook module included with Microsoft 365 enables you to link your work and personal calendars on the web. You will have access to 200 exclusive document templates, 300 new fonts, 2800 new icons and much more. The Microsoft Edge browser will be updated with a Password Monitor, which automatically scans through the saved login credentials.
You will know whether your user data has been compromised or not. You can also expect side tabs in Edge. Microsoft is also reportedly refreshing Microsoft Teams and you can expect new features. The newly launched Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans will be thrown open to the public starting April 21 for $6.99 and $9.99 respectively.
