Microsoft has announced the launch of an intelligent writing assistant Microsoft Editor. With the outbreak of COVID-19, schools and colleges were closed for a prolonged period. There are reports that schools in the US have been closed down till the end of this academic year. Hence, students should make effective use of writing tools soc that they can communicate with teachers effectively. Microsoft Editor is an advanced editor tool and is powered by AI technology. You will be able to write with confidence in 20+ languages. You can compose prose, impressive emails and share them directly on social media platforms including Gmail.
You can access Microsoft Editor capabilities such as spelling and basic grammar checks across Word, Outlook and other productivity tools with the help of a Microsoft login. If you work with Microsoft 365 Personal and Family packages, you will have access to advanced Grammar and style refinements such as clarity, formal language, vocabulary suggestions and much more. The Microsoft Editor will be available in documents, email and across the web.
Editor in Word
The Editor in Word provides support for AI with plenty of options to quickly catch errors and mistakes. Moreover, you will be able to use the Editor in more than 20 languages. The suggestions for each and every language are developed in collaboration with native speakers and local linguists. The Editor Pane in Word is now available in English, Spanish, French and German languages. The Editor in Word automatically checks your documents for spelling, grammar and style refinements. You can simply open the Editor pane by selecting on the pen icon in the ribbon if you would like to have additional assistance. The Editor can automatically analyze your writing and provide statistics on distinct words, readability including the time required to read the document.
With the help of the Similarity Checker, you will be able to identify unoriginal and rehashed content. This feature will be useful if you want original content without spending for costly software tools. This feature will be available in Word for the Web. The Rewrite suggestions module helps you to optimize your writing for fluency and readability. You just need to highlight a sentence, right-click on it and select Rewrite Suggestions” from the context menu.
Editor in Outlook
With the help of Editor in Outlook, you will be able to save time and press the Send button without any worry. Your messages will be clear and crisp. The new feature will be available for both Outlook.com and Outlook on the Web. The advanced style-oriented functionalities will be available exclusively to Microsoft 365 subscribers.
Editor in the browser extension
The Editor in the browser extension is identical to that of Grammarly. You just need to install an extension and the editor will automatically locate the error irrespective of the location. For example, you can catch errors from within the WordPress editor dashboard. You can even catch errors on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and any other platform. The Microsoft Editor browser extension will be available for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge within the next few weeks.
With the help of Microsoft 365, you will be able to leverage AI capabilities from within the web or other interfaces. Microsoft Editor will continue to evolve over a period of time.
