The Government has launched Aarogya Setu App and is being developed by National Informatics Centre under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The Aarogya Setu app, available for both Android and iOS platforms, provides useful information regarding the COVID-19 and is developed based on the best practices.
The Aarogya Setu app is a Bluetooth-based COVID-19 tracker and alerts users if they come in proximity to an infected person. Moreover, the app informs users about best practices and relevant medical advisories. The app is designed with privacy in mind and is available on Android and iOS platforms. The Aarogya Setu app has highly scalable architecture and is available in 11 languages. You will be able to perform a self-assessment test for infection mitigation.
Aarogya Setu is a mobile application developed by the Government of India with an aim to establish connectivity with essential health services with people of India. The app augments the initiatives of the Government to reach out and inform the users of the app. You will know about the risks, best practices and relevant advisories, which pertain to the containment of COVID-19. The Aarogya Setu app empowers people with better information on the potential risk of infection alongside self-assessment tools and contextual advice.
To work with Aarogya Setu, you should install the app from the Google Play Store. You should tap on the icon to launch the app. You will have to sign in and authenticate your device via OTP. You will view a dashboard with plenty of useful information. You can also perform a self-assessment test by providing answers to a few questions.
The system works similar to that of a chatbot. If you select one option, you will view corresponding another option. For instance, if you select Male, you will view a prompt to enter your age.
The app will inform you about your safety by the end of the self-assessment test. The Aarogya Setu app also includes helpdesk Telephone numbers and relevant tweets directly from the ministry and relevant officials. If you have any doubts, you can directly interact with the officials using the telephone numbers. You can stay updated about COVID-10 with the help of the app. The Aarogya Setu app works slow when you scroll down the dashboard. We expect the app will get a fresh update soon to fix the problem.
According to official Twitter handle, the Aarogya Setu app been downloaded by more than one crore people across India. The app developed by the Government department has advised people to stand strong in their fight against #FightAgainstCOVID19.
