Windows 10 May 2020

Microsoft has started to roll out the final build of the Windows 10 May 2020 update for Windows Insiders with Build 19041.207. However, the update is available only for Release Preview ring users. According to company sources, the build 19041.207 is the final build but the team will continue to improve the overall user experience.

Previously, the Redmond-based software giant launched preview versions of the Windows 10 Version 2004 or Windows 10 2H1, which is the same as that of the May 2020 update. The Windows 10 May 2020 update brings in improvements such as the addition of a dedicated Cortona app and other features.

Features

The Windows 10 May 2020 update includes a standalone Cortana app, which can be undocked from the Taskbar. The integration of the Swift Pair functionality helps you to pair new devices. You can also reset your PC with the help of the new Cloud reset option available with the May 2020 build. You will also find the Windows subsystem for Linux 2.

The Windows 10 May 2020 Update provides four quick search options such as Weather, Top news, Today in history, and New movies. The “Today in history” feature enables you to explore four events that happened on a particular day. You can also fetch new movies directly from your Windows 10 desktop.

Microsoft has added Search with a Screenshot module, which makes use of reverse engineering via Bing. The system will retrieve identical images from a screenshot. The latest update helps you to view GPU temperature under the Performance section. The Swift Pair functionality helps you to establish connectivity with Bluetooth devices without opening the Settings app.
