Qualcomm has announced the launch of Quick Charge 3+ fast charging technology for mid-range smartphones. Going forward, you can expect the integration of Quick Charge 3+ in budget smartphones powered by Snapdragon 765 & Snapdragon 765G chipsets. According to company sources, the Charge 3+ is capable of charging a device from 0 percent to 50 percent in 15 minutes.
The Quick Charge 3+ delivers up to 35 percent faster performance coupled with 9-degree cooler working usage when compared with the previous generations. You will experience less heat upon extensive gaming and prolonged usage. The Charge 3+ provides support for standard USB type A-to-type C cables and accessories, which offers scalable voltage with 20mV steps.
An interesting aspect with regard to Quick Charge 3+ is that the technology is backward compatible with previous-generation Quick Charge devices. If you have a smartphone with an older version of Quick Charge, then the device will be charged with the new charging technology. Qualcomm has provided cable power capability and identification alongside various safety mechanisms.
The Quick Charge 3+ will be available on smartphones with Snapdragon 765 & Snapdragon 765G chipsets. You can also expect the addition of the new charging technology with other handsets powered by Snapdragon processors. The Mi 10 Youth Edition with Snapdragon 765G processor is the first handset to ship with not only Quick Charge 4+ but also Charge 3+ charging technologies.
