If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch RedmiBook and Mi Laptops in India. The popular Tipster Ishan Agarwal took to Twitter and revealed that Xiaomi India CEO Manu Kumar Jain had revealed to the offline retailers about the imminent launch of the RedmiBook and Mi Laptops in India. Manu conveyed the news during his chat with the retailers over video conferencing.
.@manukumarjain said in today’s online meeting with retailers that Mi/ Redmi Laptops will launch in India ASAP (HOPE!). Didn’t provide any concrete date/timeline. Not planning to launch any Tabs like Mi Pad, though. Didn’t comment on upcoming launches like Mi 10 lite/K30 Pro 😁🤭

We don’t have any proof or confirmation about the launch of these products in India but Ishan had claimed from unknown sources. However, the company did register for the RedmiBook trademark in early 2020. We expect the launch of Mi Laptop Air in India, which can be used to enhance productivity.
In his speech, Manu was silent about the details about the launch of the RedmiBook and Mi Laptops. The launch could be delayed due to the lockdown because of the rapid growth of the COVID-19 outbreak. We have to wait until the end of the lockdown for the Xiaomi to launch the new devices. The upcoming RedmiBook and Mi Laptops will be pre-loaded with Windows 10.
Even if the company launches the Gadgets now, the company won’t be able to ship the products to the customers because of the lockdown. The Government hs not given permission for the e-commerce marketplaces to ship non-essential goods to the customers. We expect that companies like Amazon and Flipkart will be able to ship non-essential products starting May 4.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will most likely address the nation on May 3 to reveal the roadmap for the third phase of the lockdown. In all probability, the lockdown will be extended with the permission of economic activities in those areas where there are no COVID-19 cases. The states like Kerala have demanded permission of opening shops and establishments by following strict guidelines such as Social Distancing, Wearing of masks, and usage of sanitizers.
