Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 build 19624 to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring

Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 build 19624 for the Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. The new update brings in several improvements and bug fixes. Even though there are no new features, you will find plenty of bug fixes and improvements in the Windows 10 build 19624.

The Windows 10 build 19624 enables you to deactivate the new search box in the default apps Settings pages. If you disconnect from a VPN network, the system will automatically uncheck the option to auto-connect. The text of the Add a Device dialog has been updated to include controllers under Bluetooth. The Optional Updates Available section that appears in Windows Update settings has been updated to enable you to copy the text in case of any requirement.

The Windows 10 build 19624 fixes an issue that causes unexpected flickering across Windows shell surfaces and apps in the previous updates. The company has addressed the feedback provided by the Windows Insiders. The issue related to the IIS configuration and the transient access error while switching between WSL distros has been resolved. The explorer.exe reliability issue has been fixed in the 19624 update. The issue related to the Settings and the taskbar volume flyout has been resolved.

If the battery icon on the lock screen always shows empty levels, then the issue has been resolved irrespective of the actual battery levels. Microsoft suggests you to log the issue in the Feedback hub if you still face the problem. The problem related to Windows Hello and external monitor has been fixed. This problem happened when you opened the laptop after asleep.

If the Bluetooth mouse is very slow to reconnect after it fells asleep, then you will not face the problem again after the installation of the Windows 10 build 19624 updates. If the Windows Update fails with error code 0x800700b7, you will not view the error again.

You can update your system with Windows 10 build 19624 if you are part of the fast ring Windows Insiders via Windows Update. It will take 30 minutes for your system to download and install the update depending upon the system configuration. We would suggest you to perform the update during the middle of the day so that you will have ample time. You should also capture a backup of your system in case if you feel worried. You need not have to worry because Windows 10 updates will not cause any harm.
