HRX has established a strategic partnership with Flipkart to launch a wide range of wireless accessories such as wireless earbuds, neckband headphones, Bluetooth earphones, and a portable Bluetooth speaker. The Hrithik Roshan-partnered company has exclusively designed the devices with special focus on battery life and connectivity. The newly launched devices are priced between INR 999 – INR 2999 and will be available on Flipkart. The Walmart-owned e-commerce retailer is also planning to list the products on Myntra.
According to company sources, the demand for wireless devices have increased substantially in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. This is because people have been working from home and undergoing fitness routines, which require stable and reliable earbuds and headphones. The new accessories are manufactured using Qualcomm-enabled music and voice solutions.
Commenting on the development, Afsar Zaidi, CEO, HRX disclosed that audio accessory has been a natural extension when it comes to HRX product categories. The products are designed to address the growing requirements of fitness and running enthusiasts. The wireless audio category is witnessing an 11 percent year-on-year growth. He added that the pandemic has forced people to go digital.
With the steep rise in the online classes due to the pandemic, the need for quality earphones and earbuds have grown substantially. The new HRX accessories include a three-month subscription of Gaana Plus including access to exclusive HRX playlist.
Responding to media, Dev Iyer, Vice President – Private Labels, Flipkart revealed that they have a deep understanding of Indian consumers and their needs because of the homegrown nature. With the launch of HRX range of wireless accessories, they have forayed into the audio devices segment. The company is committed to establish partnership with the best of brands and technology. The aim is to bring the next 200 million consumers into the ambit of e-commerce.
No doubt, the company will have to face intense competition with the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, and Oppo. These companies are also releasing a wide range of wireless accessories at cheap prices. However, if you would like to experience premium audio, then you should buy products manufactured by JBL, Harman, Sennheiser, and Sony.
The catch is that while HRX offers accessories at cheapest rates, you will have to invest a huge amount to buy premium products. If your purpose is to listen music and to impart/attend online classes, then HRX wireless accessories will be sufficient for you.
