Microsoft is reportedly testing a new Surface device inside their labs. According to reports, the upcoming Microsoft Surface device will be powered by AMD Ryzen 7 4800U processor and will be pre-loaded with Windows 10.
The recently released Surface Laptop 3 fueled with AMD’s Ryzen 7 3780U and Ryzen 5 3580U processors are accepted by the tech community. Hence, the Redmond-based software giant is of the opinion that a new Surface device with AMD Ryzen processor and trending specifications will sell like hotcakes.
The launch of Microsoft Surface device with AMD Ryzen 7 4800U processor assumes significance with the surface of the bare-bone specifications on 3DMark. According to the report, the Ryzen 7 chipset features 512MB RAM with a clock frequency of 1750MHz. The memory clock frequency is pegged at 1333MHz with driver version 17.20.1012.12.
The Ryzen 7 4800U processor is a powerful processor with a clock frequency of 4217MHz. With eight cores and 16 threads, the Ryzen 7 4800U processor is manufactured based on the 7nm manufacturing process.
The clock speed ranges from 1.8GHz to 4.2GHz with 15W TDP. The forthcoming Microsoft Surface is rumored to target advanced and power users since the processor have shown excellent results even with the powerful Intel Core i9-9880H processor. The new Surface Device will be pre-loaded with the latest version of Windows 10 operating platform.
