Microsoft Teams will soon receive support for up to 49 users on a single call. If the company introduces 49 users support, then Zoom will find it difficult to survive amidst the Chinese presence. With people across the globe have been urging others to ditch Chinese products, Microsoft Teams will have a great future ahead. Moreover, Microsoft will add additional features to the Teams video conferencing platform.
As part of the integration of 49 users support, the Teams grid view will change to 7×7, which will accommodate up to 49 participants on a single screen. You can expect the addition of this feature in the upcoming preview build. Going forward, the Breakout rooms included with Microsoft Teams will enable users to split meetings into small groups. This will help product teams to create ideas, learn, and discuss concepts including brainstorming. You can also make use of Microsoft Graph connector to establish connectivity with disparate systems and accessible content.
Commenting on the development, Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365 disclosed that the app improvements are also available on Presenter Coach on Android and Polls in Outlook for all devices. The refreshed privacy settings in Edge and Microsoft Search enable IT enterprises to meet compliance requirements without impacting productivity.
Microsoft is also planning to unveil new workflows for common scenarios such as employee sentiment, issues, and challenges including the overall health status. Spataro revealed that the new workflows ships with templates. The ability to choose the frequency and set reminders for each Teams channel help the users to work effectively.
Microsoft Teams has been recently updated with new custom background effects. You can easily customize the background by uploading their own images. The Teams platform automatically scans the background collections from an extensive database.
The Microsoft 365 data are also being indexed by Microsoft Search to enable users to keep track of the content. It is now possible to index third-party data hosted on-premises, in public and private clouds with the help of Microsoft Graph connectors. The purpose of this technique is that the data will appears on the Microsoft search results easily.
Microsoft 365 enables you to fetch answers with natural language queries across apps such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. If you are working with SharePoint, you can view an “At a glance” summary of the relevant content.
