Samsung has launched Galaxy Watch Active2 4G Aluminium Edition, which is completely Made in India. Samsung is the first company to release a product, which is manufactured and assembled in India. Moreover, Samsung has revealed that the company is planning to produce all the upcoming smartwatches in India. This has fulfilled Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative as envisaged by PM Narendra Modi.
Commenting on the development, Mohandeep Singh, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India disclosed that the Aluminium edition of Galaxy Watch Active2 4G is an affordable 4G watch. Moreover, it’s the first wearable to be exclusively manufactured in India. Singh also added that they are now working towards the manufacture of 18 smartwatches in India as part of the Make in India initiative.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 4G Aluminium Edition flaunts a 1.4-inch (360×360) Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ display, 1.5GB RAM, 4GB storage loaded with Tizen operating platform. The watch provides support for 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and GLONASS.
The fitness tracker also ships with standard sensors such as Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro, HR, and Light respectively. Moreover, the Galaxy Watch Active2 is resistant to water via IP68 up to 5ATM and is manufactured using MIL-STD-810G certification. The Active2 4G ships with integrated 39 workout trackers with focus on indoor workouts. Samsung also established partnership with Spotify to navigate music and podcasts.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 4G Aluminium Edition is available in Aqua Black, Cloud Silver, and Pink Gold color variants. The smartphone is not budget-friendly and is priced at INR 28490 and will be up for sale in India on July 11.
