Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 2004 via Forced Update

Microsoft has started to roll out Windows 10 2004 version to those who are reluctant to upgrade. The Redmond-based software giant has initiated the rollout of the new Windows 10 2004 because the Windows 10 1809 will be outdated on November 10, 2020.

If you are working with Windows 10 1809 or the October 2018 Redstone 5 version, you will receive a forced update to the Windows 10 2004. You can also reschedule the update to a suitable later date if you are not in a position to perform the update now.

We often used to receive the message forcing us to update during the midst of the work but we used to shift to a later date. You can also perform the required update by selecting the Power button and choosing the relevant option. It is possible to either restart or shutdown the machine after downloading the required update. If you choose shutdown, then Windows 10 will install the required update when you boot your device.

According to Microsoft, the product team has increased the total number of devices that are selected to automatically receive Windows 10 2004 by leveraging the Machine Learning tools. The updates are thrown for those devices that reach the end of service.

The company is also rolling out the update for systems loaded with Windows 10 1903 version because the support will end on December 8, 2020. If you work with the 1903 version, then you can expect to view the Windows 10 2204 update within the next few days.
