According to a study conducted by Team Blind, nearly 66 percent of IT professionals are of the opinion that Work From Home (WTH) is deeply hurting their mental health. Nowadays, mental health is becoming a significant workplace concern due to the isolation faced by IT professionals from colleagues, friends, and loved ones.
Team Blind comprises of an anonymous professional network of over 3.6M verified users. With polls becoming a modern day new normal, a Google employee ran a pool asking this query – Is Work From Home aka WFH hurting your mental health? The poll received 9726 responses coupled with a robust dialogue of over 686 professionals commenting on their own experiences.
The poll results reveal that 66 percent of professionals are of the opinion that Work From Home (WTH) is hurting their mental health. Moreover, over 80 percent of employees working with Yelp, Facebook, Yahoo, and Paypal are aggressively impacted. The results show that less than 55 percent of employees working with Snapchat, Workday, and T-Mobile are also impacted by mental health syndrome.
