Amazon Alexa app is getting ready for a new makeover. Amazon has updated the Alexa app with new features and improvements including updated navigation methods. The new app will be available for Android, iOS, and Fire OS starting August 2020. The app will render data based on how you use the Alexa app.
The home screen will feature a large Alexa button located at the top. You can tap on the button to activate the virtual voice assistant. Alternatively, you can also say Alexa command followed by your query to work with the voice assistant. The home dashboard will also display customized suggestions based on past interactions with Alexa from any device such as smartphones, Echo smart speakers, or even third-party smart speakers. The displayed content will include music streaming or suggestions from online streaming services like Spotify, Gaana, and much more.
The upcoming iteration of Amazon Alexa app will have a refined system for the Skills. You will find that the third-party skills have been pushed back to a dedicated “Skills & Games” section. The new app also includes modifications to the Settings, Reminders, Routines, and all other modules. If you are working with the Alexa app, you will find excellent enhancements before the end of August 2020.
Amazon is currently selling a wide range of Alexa powered smart speakers. Hence, the Alexa app is being refreshed with new features to provide a smooth and intuitive experience. The updated Alexa app will change the way the third-party skills will be displayed.
According to a popular research agency, nearly 61 percent of the third-party skills have no credible ratings. The survey research reveals that only 5 percent of Alexa skills have earned 10 or more ratings. You should note that only one percent of Alexa skills have more than 100 ratings.
