Microsoft Edge has taken over Mozilla Firefox in the competitive browser race. According to reports, Google Chrome is still on the first spot but Microsoft Edge has overtaken Firefox by extra miles in April. Microsoft has maintained the second sweet spot with an increased market share.
As per NetMarketShare analytics, Google Chrome continues to be on the top spot with a 71 percent market share. The market share of Microsoft Edge has been increased to 8.46 percent in July, which is over 0.87 percent increase from the June 2020 estimates. Talking about the Mozilla Firefox, the market share dropped to 7.27 percent in July, when compared with 7.58 percent in June 2020.
Despite the rapid growth of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome continues to be on the top sport and is unbeatable among tech-savvy communities. The main reason for the spike in Chrome is due to the adoption of mobile version by the masses. Microsoft is aggressively pushing Edge browser along with Windows 10. The recent Edge update based on Chromium provided a great boost in terms of both speed and performance. You can now access Edge seamlessly in non-Windows devices.
While Internet Explorer finds its place in fourth place with a 5.99 percent market share, the Apple Safari pegs in 2.95 percent market share. Microsoft continues to provide regular updates to make that you with user-friendly interfaces. The company recently pushed Quiet notifications requests in Microsoft Edge 84, which manages website notification requests.
