Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20190 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The Redmond-based tech giant has introduced a new first-run experience via the Tips app. You will be able to learn about the changes on your PC after the completion of the installation of Windows 10 update.
The Tips app will highlight the recent changes and the new features included with the latest Insider Preview builds in the Dev channel. You should enable “Show me the Windows welcome experience” in Settings | System | Notifications & actions menu option. The Tips app is available for Windows Insiders in EN locales such as the US, UK, AU, IN, and CA.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20190 has introduced improved Graphics settings experience. You can now specify a default high-performance GPU and also enables users to pick a specific GPU on a per-application basis.
If you are an advanced user who makes use of high-performance GPUs, you can specify the GPU that needs to be used by navigating to Settings | System | Display | Graphics settings or Settings | Gaming | Graphics settings.
If you specify a high-performance GPU, the relevant application will only use the graphics processor. Alternatively, you can also make use of the Specific GPU option if you want an app to use that GPU. You now have the freedom to choose a GPU depending upon the app instead of depending upon a single default GPU provided by the manufacturer.
That being said, the Windows SDK is now flighting with the Dev channel. The SKD will be flighted as soon as the new OS build is made available on the Dev channel, which can be downloaded from aka.ms/InsiderSDK. Microsoft has updated the new Japanese IME to support swapping Hiragana and Katakana by making use of CTRL+CAPSLOCK and ALT+CAPSLOCK keys respectively.
