Microsoft Surface Duo rumored to meet the requirements of Indian customers

Microsoft is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Surface Duo smartphone. The main highlight of the Surface Duo is the addition of a dual-screen display. The Microsoft Design Team is currently working towards the development of apps, which will work on the device.

According to Deepak Menon, the design team lead disclosed that the product team designed the app after a deep study of the people in India and China, which are said to be mobile-first. The apps that could be integrated with Surface Duo will be compatible for all users in India. Deepak added that the design changes the way we interact with mobile devices and takes content consumption to the next level. He also said that content displayed between the screens reduces the cognitive burden of Windows management to a large extent.

Meanwhile, Jon Friedman, who heads the Microsoft Office Design revealed that the Surface Duo is mainly designed to close the gaps between the work being done and the tools that are made available. The team is working to design and develop several compatible apps that will be used by the Surface Duo smartphone.

Surface Duo Specifications – Rumored

The Surface Duo is rumored to ship with an 8.3-inch foldable dual display with a resolution of 2200×2480 pixels. Under the hood, the Duo will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB RAM alongside 512GB internal storage. The device will bear a 48MP rear camera. Moreover, the Duo borrows fuel from the integrated 4500mAh battery with fast charging support. That being said, the specifications are liable to change.
