Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20206 with new features and improvements. The latest update will be available to Windows Insiders on the Dev Channel. The update brings in a set of input features to Windows Insiders. Microsoft revealed that their main goal is to make Windows better with both text and voice.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20206 ships with Emoji picker using which you can express yourself when typing in Windows. Moreover, the update also includes support for several languages, kaomoji, and symbols including the ability to access your clipboard history. The emoji picker includes an updated design as per the Fluent Design principles and practices including a new acrylic background.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20206 ships with improved emoji search in various supported languages by having an inline search box. You just need to hit WIN+[.] and WIN+[;] to work with animated GIF including search operations.
The latest Windows 10 update will provide animated GIFs based on the latest trends and hashtags. The latest update has combined input and clipboard history into a single user experience. You can press WIN+V to navigate to clipboard history. Moreover, you can also access clipboard by switching to the Clipboard category after pressing WIN + [.] or WIN + [;]. Microsoft has updated the feedback hub for the testers to share their feedback and suggestions related to Emoji, Kaomoji, GIF, and others.
The new features will be available only to a small subset of Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. This will enable people to identify potential issues that could have an impact on performance and reliability. You can expect the complete rollout to all users in the Dev Channel once the errors are fixed.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20206 provides improved voice typing via an enhanced version of Windows dictation. You will be able to type with your voice without any major strain on any text field on your PC. This feature will be useful if you find voice more comfortable than typing on a keyboard.
The Windows voice typing ships with a modern design, which is optimized for usage with Touch keyboards. The Auto-punctuation enables you to work with voice without worrying about question marks and periods. Microsoft has updated the back-end or a reliable voice typing experience on Windows. You can start voice typing with the help of WIN+H keyboard shortcut. You can also tap the microphone button on the touch keyboard.
As of this writing, voice typing is available in English (US), English (Australia), English (India), English (Canada), English (United Kingdom), French (France), French (Canada), Portuguese (Brazilian), Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Spanish), German, Italian and Japanese languages. The latest update will be available to select Windows Insiders to begin with followed by Global rollout.
