Apple is scheduled to launch the next-generation iPad and Apple Watch on September 15 directly from Apple Park in Cupertino. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant is yet to announce the launch date for the iPhone 12. This is disappointing because Apple fans always see the launch of new iPhones in September. It seems that the company is finding it difficult to meet the production requirements due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Apple has issued media invites with the traditional Apple logo doodled by hand followed by the text Time Flies. You can expect the launch of Apple Watch and the iPad without iPhone in 2020. That being said, this doesn’t mean that Apple will never release iPhone. We expect the company to release the new iPhone before the end of Q1 2021.
You should note that the upcoming iPhone will be delayed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. With factories across China closed due to the virus outbreak, the production of the iPhones is largely affected. The user base of iPhones is higher than iPad and hence the delay will be inevitable because it’s practically not possible to manufacture millions of units within the quick span of time.
According to rumors, the Tim Cook-owned company will launch several iterations of the iPhone 12 with a wide range of storage variants. We are not ruling out the possibility of a special launch event with special focus on the iPhone 12. The new Apple iPad will ship with a faster processor alongside thinner bezels. Apple will also bundle the second-generation Apple Pencil with wireless charging support along with the new iPad.
The upcoming Apple Watch Series 6 will bring in higher quality display enclosed in a light-weight and sleek structure. The rumor mill is of the opinion that the Apple Watch will draw power via a powerful processor, which offers an enhanced battery and an excellent battery life.
Unlike the previous year, Apple will conduct the live launch via online mode to adhere to the COVID-19 protocol. It is not possible to conduct physical launch events like in the past because of the pandemic and social distancing requirements. The launch will happen at 10.30 PM IST (10 AM PDT). You can catch the live stream of the event from Apple’s official website.
