Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.546 20H2 build to the beta and release preview channels. The latest update includes all the bug fixes included as part of the 20H2 build 19042.541. Moreover, the latest update has resolved an issue that prevents a device from entering modern standby. The Windows update also resolved reliability issues in Microsoft Edge that occurs when you open multiple windows or tabs.
Microsoft also released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The Windows 10 Build 20226 automatically monitors storage health to protect user data. The new feature is capable of detecting hardware problems associated with NMVe SSD and also notified users to enable them to resolve the error as per their convenience. You can navigate to Settings | System | Storage | Manage disk and volumes | Properties to fetch additional details pertaining to this new feature.
Microsoft also pushed new UX for the New Your Phone settings to provide seamless device management. With the help of the new settings page, you will be able to link and remove devices including the ability to switch between active devices easily within the app. You will also find visual improvements to the device list display. It is also possible to identify each device on its own device card with your personally synced wallpaper.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.546 and Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226 will be rolled out to Windows Insiders in a phased manner. It will take some time for the update to hit your laptop. You can also manually check for the presence of the update by navigating to the Windows Insiders settings page.
