Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226

Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226 to Windows Insiders in the Dev channel. The new update enables you to keep track of storage health, which ultimately protects user data. The new feature automatically detects hardware abnormalities for NVMe SSDs and notify users. Microsoft has recommended users to backup their valuable data after the receipt of the notification. You can navigate to Settings | System | Storage | Manage disks and volumes | Properties to view additional details.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226 ships with New Your Phone settings for seamless device management. You will be able to manage linked device with the app. The new Settings page enables you to link a new device, remove an old device including the ability to switch between active devices from within the app. You will also view visual improvements on the device list page. You can identify each device on its own device card with your personally synced wallpaper.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20226 is currently available to Windows Insiders. As of this writing, the update has automatically downloaded on the background and is available for installation. We had installed several preview builds in the past and there will be on data loss. However, you should preferably capture a backup of your data in case of any eventuality.
