Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.572 (KB4579311) to the Windows Insiders under Beta and Release preview channels. However, the update will be available only for those Windows Insiders who are on Windows 10 October 2020 update (20H2). The update has resolved an issue associated with a possible elevation of privilege in Win32K.
Microsoft has resolved an issue associated with the Group Policy service, which might recursively delete critical files in alphabetic order from %systemroot%\system32. The problem occurs when a policy has been configured to delete cached profiles. You should note that the file deletions might cause 0x5A (CRITICAL_SERVICE_FAILED) stop error boot failures.
Microsoft also released a cumulative update for Windows 10 Version Next 20231.1005 with KB4586238 for Windows Insiders in the Dev channel. Microsoft tweeted that they are rolling out a small update to validate their servicing pipeline in the Dev Channel.
