Microsoft has started to roll out Windows 10 October 2020 20H2 with new features and capabilities. The Windows 10 October 2020 20H2 update ships with a redesigned start menu including the ability to change the refresh rate of your computer display. You can modify the refresh rate from the Advanced Settings page from within the Settings dashboard.
If you had installed Windows 10 Build 20236, you will be able to modify the refresh rate easily. The October 2020 update also brings in a new touch-friendly taskbar and enhancements to notifications. If you work with Microsoft Edge, you will be able to take advantage of Collections and Price Comparisons just in time for the upcoming Black Friday season.
The Windows 10 October 2020 20H2 includes a refreshed Start menu, which shows single-colored theme-aware tiles. The tiles will automatically adjust their color scheme as per the theme picked by the user. The new Windows 10 Start menu is exclusively designed to fit the light and dark themes. We also expect several new features in addition to the ones discussed in this article.
The touch-friendly Taskbar automatically moves the icons on the bottom left of the screen. The Windows 10 October 2020 20H2 also removed the Cortana/search bar. You will find two separate buttons for Search and Cortana. The Alt+Tab keyboard shortcut will be refreshed with a new layout. The new update will be made available via OTA within the next few days. You can also manually check for the presence of the update by navigating to the Windows Insider dashboard. You should have installed Windows 10 Version 1903 to receive this new update.
