The Windows 10 October 2020 update comes with a refreshed Start menu design with transparent background to the tiles. If you would like to have a splash of colors, you should first activate Windows dark theme and then toggle “Show accent color on the following surfaces” for Start, Taskbar, and action center” located under Settings | Personalization | Color. This process will apply accent color to the Start frame and tiles.

The update also introduces new app logos at the top of notifications including the new “X” mark on the Recent Search panel.
