PUBG Mobile Soon To Hit Google Play Store with Microsoft Azure Flavor

Krafton has entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft to deploy PUBG Mobile on Microsoft Azure, which will set tone for the re-entry of the gaming app to India. According to reports, Kraftron has announced a global partnership with Microsoft Azure to host the wide range of its exclusive products including PUBG. The main reason for hosting PUBG Mobile on Microsoft Azure is to ensure data security and privacy of users. It has to be noted that PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds (PUBG) has been banned in India citing security and privacy issues.

Gamechanger

If the Ministry of Information technology in India accepts PUBG Mobile on the Microsoft Azure platform, then the deal will become a game-changer. The Narendra Modi led Government has been insisting on the need to have a robust security system, which was absent previously.

Serious Privacy Issues

The officials claimed that PUBG Mobile transferred all the data gathered from India to China, which is not permissible. The latest development implies that the company will host the game on Microsoft Asure India region to ensure the privacy and security of the game.

According to the company release, privacy and security are of utmost importance for Krafton and the team will work with Microsoft to ensure advanced data protection via Microsoft Azure. The main reason for the ban of PUBG Mobile in India is because of the lack of privacy and security.

Biggest Market

The company has been working hard to abide by the Indian laws including changes in the privacy policy to provide transparency in data consumption. If the company manages to port PUBG Mobile on Microsoft Azure, then it would set new benchmarks in the gaming industry. India was one of the biggest markets for PUBG Mobile and several people even got addicted to the battleground game.

Indian Servers

With Microsoft all set to acquire PUBG Mobile rights for India and Microsoft Azure becoming data warehouse for the game, we can expect security and privacy-related issues pertaining to the game will be resolved. The main reason for the ban of the game in India is because of the security of the data and the collaboration with Microsoft Azure will resolve all the issues cited by the Indian Government to a large extent.

PUBG Mobile was banned in India because the game was hosted on Tencent Cloud-based in China. With Krafton confirming the partnership with Microsoft Azure, the hope of the revival of the PUBG is imminent. Microsoft operates Azure data centers worldwide with three of them being in India. We expect PUBG Mobile will find its place from the data center within India, which will not only bring advantages to India but also the employees of both Krafton and Microsoft.
