Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.630 for the Windows Insiders in the beta and release preview channels. The update will be available for those Windows Insiders who are on Windows 10 October 2020 update aka 20H2. The latest update includes security updates and quality improvements.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.630 brings in updates to the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands for December 20, 2020. The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.630 also includes security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Input and Composition, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Wallet Service, Windows Kernel, and Windows Fundamentals. The update will be made available in a phased manner and it will take time to hit your devices.
To recall, Microsoft had released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 19042.610 to the beta and release preview insiders. Microsoft has fixed an issue pertaining to the Docker pull operation. Previously, the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19042.608 with the integration of Meet Now on Skype. The build also resolved an issue related to the Group Policy Preferences usage and Untrusted URL navigations from IE11 via Microsoft Defender Application Guard.
Microsoft will roll out Windows 10 Insider builds in a phased manner. YOu can install the software bits as and when available. You will not face any problems after installation but it is advisable to capture a backup of your data periodically.
