PUBG Mobile has announced its comeback to the Indian region after inking a strategic deal with Microsoft over the deployment of Microsoft Azure. Gamers across India were excited about the grand comeback of PUBG Mobile with Indian flavor. Many of them took to their social media handles and expressed happiness. However, the Government is not keen to throw open PUBG Mobile again in India. According to sources, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is not in favour of providing any relaxations to PUBG and 116 other Chinese apps. The concerns will have to be addressed. Otherwise, it will be difficult to grant any relaxation.
According to PUBG Corp, the company is working to provide a secure and healthy gameplay environment with the refreshed version, which is termed as PUBG Mobile India. The privacy and security of the data are of the utmost top priority. Moreover, the company is willing to conduct regular audits and verifications on the storage systems that hold data of Indian users. The move is to reinforce security and ensure that their data is completely protected. That said, Meity is yet to provide its consent to the PUBG Corp to launch a new version of the game.
Additionally, PUBG is planning to establish a dedicated office in India with over 100 employees, to begin with. The purpose of the office is to improve communications and services with the gaming community. With a huge gaming population in India, the re-launch of PUBG will set new benchmarks in the smartphone industry. The company is looking to establish collaboration and leverage local businesses to strengthen its gaming services.
In a bid to infuse Foreign Direct Investment, the PUBG Corp and Krafton will invest over $100 million in India to cultivate the local video game, e-sports, entertainment, and IT industries. even though PUBG has mentioned about the imminent launch of the game, we don’t have any information about the exact date of the launch of the new game. It looks like the Government will allow the app only if the violent nature of the game is removed.
The PUBG Mobile India has been designed and developed exclusively for the Indian market to maximize data security among its players alongside adhering to local regulations. The in-game content will be improved to a great extent and the entire game will be customized based on the local needs and requirements. The changes include virtual simulation training, clothing on new characters including Green hit effects instead of Red.
