Working
To work with FlexClip 2.0, you should navigate to the official website and click on the Login link located on the top portion. You can either use the email and password you used during the signup process or make use of the Facebook and Google authentication.
You will view a dashboard with a list of your projects and new templates. The company has divided the templates into various categories. You can use them, edit and create stunning videos within minutes. FlexClip will take few minutes to initialize and displays a new dashboard with all the required options as shown below
You can either select stock media or images/videos from your local PC. The dashboard also enables you to record screen and webcam. It is also possible to drag and drop new files instead of using buttons. You can modify the background color by select the appropriate color from the top navigation bar.
The navigation panel located on the left-hand side includes several options. The image addition is the first option, while the second option enables you to add Text elements.
The Overlay option provides an ability to add Overlay for Text, Decoration, Intro, Outro including logos. If you select See all link option, you will view complete list of all the animations.
The Element option helps you to add arrows, social media buttons, shape, birthday, promo, bubble, business, emoji, number, and art word. You just need to drag and drop the elements after adding a new background slide and reposition the four corners to resize the added element.
With the help of FlexClip 2.0, you can add Background videos to your slides. You just need to select BKground option and pick the relevant background video. You can also select See all link to view the remaining backgrounds included with the relevant category.
If you select a background video, you will view a small preview where you can clearly view the complete background before adding to the video.
You should select “Use Video” button to add the related background video to your editing window. The background will be added to the editing dashboard and you will view the progress bar. You can also add background video to your YouTube short videos. However, the window will be expanded and then shrinked during the process of adding the background video. It will take some time for the video to start the preview and add to the dashboard because of the sizing issue. However, the product team has included only those backgrounds with minimal capacity for the benefit of users.
The big advantage of FlexClip 2.0 is the ability to add background music. If you select Music option, you will view “Add Stock Music” button on the dashboard. You can also upload music files from your computer. You should make sure to add copyright-free audio files.
You will view a new dashboard with several categories upon selecting “Add Stock Music” button.
You can either select the mood, genre, or instrument options from the left side or the categories from the right side. If you select Happy mood, you will view several audio files. You can select “Play” button to listen to the audio file before adding to the video editing with the help of “Use” button. The dashboard also displays the duration of the audio file. You will view several audio files if you continue to scroll down the Music dashboard. The company has provided an exhaustive database of copyright free audio files, which you can use without getting copyright strikes from YouTube.
You should note that video creation and editing is not a simple task. Hence, you should always protect your videos by adding Watermark. You can easily add Text or Image watermark using FlexClip 2.0. You just need to provide the content for the Text watermark, select font family, size, opacity including the position by selecting the arrows. The relevant watermark will be added to the preview on the right-hand side.
Alternatively, you can also add an image as the watermark by select an image from your PC.
If you select More link from the navigation panel, you can modify the ratio of your video. FlexClip 2.0 will display the preview of the selected ratio so that you can decide which one you should use. If you are satisfied with the editing, you can preview the video and perform the Export process. You can either download the produced video file or directly share the video on YouTube.
Working with Timeline Mode
The Timeline Mode has been added to the FlexClip 2.0, which gives you a new and redefined user experience. You need to select Timeline Mode after selecting “Start From Scratch” button. The company informed us that the Timeline mode is in free open beta stage and requires several improvements.
The purpose of the Timeline mode is that it provides a flexible timeline with multiple tracks. You can easily edit the content without any difficulty. In the Timeline mode, you can only upload local files with the ability to record screen. You can also add text and background by selecting the relevant options.
If you hover over the added image, you will view a “+” icon, which will add the selected photo to the Timeline. In the same way, you can add multiple images. You can drag the Timeline slider to adjust the duration of the selected property.
The Timeline Mode functionality is currently under beta stage and there is no option to include audio. As of this writing, the mode will not provide an ability to add audio, background videos, and watermark. The product team is working on to add new features and functionalities.
