Microsoft Releases Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 to the Beta Channel Windows Insiders

Microsoft has released Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 to the Windows Insiders in the beta channel. The latest update has the reliability of screen snipping experience with those apps that access the clipboard often. The Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 also removes the capability to copy and paste a screen snip directly into a folder in File Explorer because of the issue that exists. Microsoft revealed that they will enable this feature in an upcoming update after addressing the problems with the snipping module.

The Windows Feature Experience Pack updates are made available to Windows Insiders via Windows Update. You will be able to install the pack just like builds and cumulative updates. If you are a Windows Insider in the Beta channel, you should navigate to Settings | Update & security | Windows Update and check for the presence of the Windows feature Experience Pack update.

That said, Windows Insiders should be running Windows 10 20H2 Build 19042.662 or higher to install Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 update. You can verify the experience pack version by navigating to Settings | System | About.

Microsoft is testing the delivery of experience packs with Windows Insiders to deliver new feature improvements to customers outside of major Windows 10 feature updates. Going forward, the product team plans to increase the frequency of releases. The experience pack updates will be integrated with the existing service process for Windows 10 and delivered via Windows Update.
