Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21318 to Dev Channel Windows Insiders

Microsoft has announced the launch of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21318 (RS_PRERELEASE) to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The latest build is also available to ARM64 devices. After the installation of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21318, you can paste as plain text in clipboard history. The latest update is the continuation of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21313.

You just need to open clipboard history by hitting WIN+V keyboard shortcut and select the … button located adjacent to any text-based entry in your clipboard history. You will view a Paste as plain text option alongside pin and delete. The clipboard pastes the text content of the clipboard without original formatting such as font, size, and color in such a way that it matches the destination document formatting. The new feature is currently being rolled out to a small segment of Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The purpose is to identify issues that could impact stability, performance, and reliability.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21318 provides an ability to explore an ink-first experience with Journal, which is a Microsoft garage project. Journal enables users with digital pen to express themselves their opinions and also to evolve their ideas. The Digital Ink is unique not only in the speed but also degree of natural expression. You can connect disparate ideas including the ability to sketch drawings with Journal. You can freely insert annotations and the relevant information can be located with search. It is also possible to connect your ink across other apps.

Journal provides new AI, intuitive gestures, and connected Microsoft 365 cloud experience. The app will be very useful for writing ideas, notes, and drawing sketches. To work with the refreshed Garage app, you should install the app from the Microsoft Store and make use of the digital pen to work on the new features.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21318 has brought in significant changes and improvements. If you are working with x64 apps on ARM64, you no longer need to download and install a separate preview version of the ARM64 C++ redistributable package. The notification when pairing Bluetooth devices will currently stay on the screen a little longer than in the previous builds. You will be able to interact with the notification before it vanishes.

Microsoft also rolled out improvements to the Touch keyboard and Magnifier. You will also find several bug fixes related to News and interests and other related modules. The company is also working to provide fixes for all the known issues.
