After testing waters with JioPhone, Reliance is gearing up to launch the next-generation JioBook laptop with 4G support. According to reports, the upcoming Jio Laptop will be pre-loaded with JioOS. Moreover, the laptop will be powered by Snapdragon 665 processor and is rumored to be available at Rs 9999. The HD display enables users to work easily with videos.
When the whole world is talking about Atmanirbhar Bharat, Reliance Jio has reportedly established a partnership with China-based Bluebank Communication Technology. The company is planning to copy the success of JioPhone, which has established the mark in the feature phone segment.
The specifications of the JioBook have been leaked on the wild. The rumors suggest that the JioBook will be powered by Snapdragon 665 processor alongside a 10-inch HD display, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage. The laptop could be identical to that of the Windows 10 convertibles that were popular four years back. The company will also release 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the laptop.
The laptop is pre-loaded with JioOS UI based on Android OS. Reliance Jio has utilized the services of the Bluebank for the development of KaiOS. The reports indicate that the JioBook is currently in the Engineering Validation Test stage and could enter Product Validation test by the end of April.
You can expect dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and a dedicated audio chip manufactured by Qualcomm. The laptop will ship with JioMeet, JioPages, JioStore, JioCinema, JioNews, and JioSaavn. You need not have to expect JioTV because the app is reserved only for mobiles. However, if you connect 4G SIM card, then you will be able to navigate TV channels. That being said, JioBook could be priced at Rs 9999 for the Android version and Rs 14999 for the Windows 10 edition. We don’t have any confirmation as to whether the laptop will be made available in Windows version.
