Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 Build 19043.985 (21H1) to Beta & Release Preview Channels

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 19043.985 (21H1) to beta and release preview channels. However, the update will be available only for those Windows Insiders who are on 21H1 build. The latest security update includes quality improvements.

The Windows 10 Build 19043.985 (21H1) brings in security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Kernel, Windows Media, Microsoft Scripting Engine, and the Windows Silicon Platform. Microsoft recently pushed Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21376 to Dev Channel Windows Insiders with an updated Segoe UI font. The Segoe UI includes an optical axis to enable outlines to scale seamlessly from small to large display fixes. The font now has improved legibility at small sizes and enhanced outlines at display sizes. Segoe UI was designed to work at 9pt but limits expression at large sizes.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21376 has introduced updates to enhance the drag and drop default cursor design in various scenarios. The Connect app icon has been updated to align with other recent iconography improvements. Microsoft has made tweaks to display symbols in the symbols section of the emoji panel. The Segoe UI historic font has been updated to add Bamum Unicode range support.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21376 has resolved several bugs related to News and interests. The update also added reliability and performance enhancements to explorer.exe while making use of a Remote Desktop Connection. The update resolved an issue resulting in slow performance of the File Explorer after upgrading to Build 21354 or higher. The issue pertaining to the unexpected stoppage of Windows Spotlight-related text has been resolved. The crash of the Storage sense page in settings has been resolved.
