Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21387 To Dev Channel Windows Insiders

Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21387 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. Microsoft has retired Internet Explorer 11 desktop application with this preview build. After the installation of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21387, you will be able to work only with Microsoft Edge.

The removal of Internet Explorer comes after 25 years of the official launch. We had worked with Internet Explorer since its launch and had great memories. With the rapid advancement of technology, we have to accept the reality the move forward with Microsoft Edge. The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21387 has deactivated the Eco Mode functionality in Task Manager to refine the user experience and also to address several issues pointed out by Windows Insiders.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21387 has resolved an issue where Times New Roman font was displayed on the welcome screen after the first sign-in after the installation of the Windows update. Microsoft has resolved an issue resulting in display of errors while opening Notepad via the Run dialog. The issue pertaining to improper launch of Linux GUI apps via Start menu shortcut has been resolved.

The update has resolved an issue pertaining to reset or change PIN workflows. If the night light was immediately turned off after being enabled, then the issue has been resolved. If you happened to see a message like “We can’t find an audio device” while trying to play audio from a connected Bluetooth speaker, then the issue has been resolved.

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21387 has fixed an issue where explorer.exe might crash after repeated usage of the touchpad gesture for swapping Virtual Desktops. The USB printer problem has been resolved. Microsoft has resolved an issue resulting in the Windows Update page becoming unresponsive after clicking Pause Updates.

The problem related to few devices failing with error code 0xc1900101 has been resolved. If the .NET update is re-offered after installation then the issue has been resolved. If devices crash with a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error when using OneDrive Personal Vault, then the issue has been resolved.

Microsoft also acknowledges known issues that will be most likely resolved in the upcoming update. The Windows Camera App does not respect the default brightness setting configured via the new Camera Settings page. Microsoft is investigating an issue where elements of Search are no longer displaying correctly in Dark theme.

If you had observed that the News and interests occasionally flash in the top left corner of the Desktop after hovering over the Icon on the Taskbar, Microsoft is working to resolve the issue. The device-related error code 0xc1900101 will be resolved soon. Microsoft recommends pausing updates until the product team releases a build with the fix.
