Microsoft has released Windows 10 Build 19042.1023 (20H2) to release preview channel. The update will be available only for those Windows Insiders who are on Windows 10 October 202 (20H2) update. The Windows 10 Build 19042.1023 has resolved an issue associated with the just-in-time (JIT) behavior of jscript9.dll. The update has fixed an issue that could prevent users from opening phone apps that are pinned to the Taskbar. If Win32 apps are prevented from opening using the runas command and when the “BlockNonAdminUserInstall” Group policy is turned on, then the issue has been resolved.
The Windows 10 Build 19042.1023 (20H2) has resolved an issue that displays Progressive Web Application (PWA) icons as blank upon pinning to the Taskbar. The update has also fixed an issue that fails to properly manage memory for touch input before a session ends. The memory leak pertaining to ctfmon.exe has been solved. This error will occur when you refresh an application that has an editable box. If the touch device doesn’t work as a serial mouse in multiple monitor situations, then the error has been fixed.
If the Settings page text displays “Let’s finish setting up your device” at startup, then the issue has been resolved. If the items on the desktop are displayed even after the deletion, then you will not encounter the problem again.
