Microsoft is scheduled to unveil the next generation of Windows on June 24. The launch event will take place at 11 AM ET and the company has sent invitations to the reporters. In addition to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer Panos Panay will also participate in the launch event. While Nadella will explain the core features of the new Microsoft Windows operating platform, Panay will reveal the new range of Surface devices.
According to Satya Nadella, the upcoming version of Microsoft Windows will ship with improvements for software developers and creators. Nadella had teased the new major enhancements to Windows for developers and creators recently. We also expect Microsoft to introduce News and interests module and all the new features introduced via Windows 10 Insider Developer Previews over the past 6 months.
The company has gathered extensive feedback from Windows Insiders and had fixed several issues. The forthcoming Windows update will probably include a revamped Start menu and a refreshed Microsoft Store. There are chances that the Store will provide developers to upload their own apps for verification and subsequent publication.

Microsoft Windows account for 14% of the total revenue of the company, which is a considerable amount. The Redmond-based software giant had released two updates every year since the official launch of Windows 10 in 2015. The much-anticipated Windows 10X was shunted by the company in May 2020. Nadella made an announcement of the release of new Windows operating platform after that.
From our point of view, the new Windows will ship with the features that were expected to be included with Windows 10X. It is to be noted that Windows 10X was designed for dual-screen devices but the delay in the launch of Surface Neo due to the pandemic forced the company to stop Windows 10X.
We don’t know whether the name of the new Windows operating platform will be Windows 10 or Windows 10.1 or Windows 11. That being said, you can expect new features and improvements in addition to enhanced stability.
