Windows 11 Minimum System Requirements Overview

Microsoft has released the first Windows 11 Insider Preview Build to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The launch of Windows 11 on June 24 has marked the journey to empower people with the next generation of Windows. Windows 11 has thrown immense possibilities for people to adapt to the changing hardware and software in their bid to learn the next-generation Windows. However, the hard Windows 11 Minimum System Requirements have caused disappointment among those users who were planning to upgrade to Windows 11.

According to Microsoft, the product team is working to address the feedback and ensure that Windows 11 works with Intel 7th Generation processors to provide data about performance and security. The Redmond-based software giant has removed PC Health Check app to improve the performance of the tool. The current version of the tool is unable to provide any detailed reasoning for the inability of the computer to accept Windows 11. The upcoming version will be updated to provide accurate data and information.

Windows 11 Minimum System Requirements

Windows 11 is designed to work with processors with Greater than 1GHz 2-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. The enhanced storage limit is to address the system requirements for Office and Microsoft Teams.

The devices running on Intel 8th Generation processor and AMD Zen 2 with Qualcomm 7 and 8 series are eligible to receive Windows 11 because they meet the basic system requirements. The important condition is that devices should provide support for Trusted Platform Module aka TPM, which is the base criteria for all the latest security features.

Windows 11 Support in Intel Core 7th Generation Processors

Microsoft has assured that they will identify potential devices with Intel Core 7th Generation and AMD Zen 1 processors that could meet their standard principles. We expect Microsoft to ship Windows 11 by October 2021 and manufacturers will be ready with their devices by then.

Windows 11 New Features

Windows 11 ships with new features with special focus on security, reliability, compatibility, multitasking, gaming, online learning, video conferencing, and much more. The integration of Microsoft Teams will set new benchmarks in computing because of the emerging Work From Home (WFH) opportunities. With the help of Windows 11, students need not have to worry because they can interact with teachers and fellow students via Microsoft Teams without any need to install any software program.

Windows 11 is developed for those computer systems that enable Windows Hello, Device Encryption, Virtualization Based Security (VBS), Hypervisor Protected Code Integrity (HVCI) including Secure Boot. According to Microsoft, the combination of these features has significantly reduced malware by 60% on tested devices.

Microsoft has revealed that Windows 11 can be installed only in those laptops with TPM functionality integrated onto the CPU. Moreover, it should support secure boot, VBS, and other specific VBS capabilities. Moreover, the processors with Windows Driver Model with support from OEM have achieved a 99.8% crash free experience.

If you currently part of Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, then you should try to download and install Windows 11. You require a compatible device that meets all the standard requirements set by Microsoft. Otherwise, it’s better to wait until manufacturers release Windows 11 compatible PCs by the end of 2021.
