The print operators security group could install both signed and unsigned printer drivers on a printer server before initiating the patch update.
The delegated admin groups like printer operators could be able to install signed printer drivers and administrator credentials after the installation of CVE-2021-34527 update. The admin credentials will be required to install unsigned printer drivers on a printer server. You should install July 2021 Out of Band update and configure the RestrictDriverInstallationToAdministrators registry value, which prevents non-administrators from installing printer drivers on a printer server.
Microsoft revealed that the PrintNightmare security updates for Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, and Windows 10 version 1607 will be delayed for a short period.
