Microsoft has released the first preview of Chat from Microsoft Teams to Windows Insiders. Microsoft has started to roll out new Windows 11 consumer experiences via Microsoft Teams to bring friends and families closer during the pandemic. The update includes a new sleek Chat flyout on the Taskbar including an overall Teams desktop experience for optimized performance. The Microsoft Teams update is being made available in a staged manner to Windows Insiders. You will receive the update via OTA in a phased manner. If you are unable to view the update now, you will receive within the next few days.
The first Microsoft Teams preview will provide a facility to sign-in, add contacts and connect via individual and group chats. The audio/video calling, meetings, screen sharing, and other capabilities will be added in the upcoming preview builds. According to Microsoft, the Chat from Microsoft teams will be made available only to a small subset of Windows Insiders followed by a wider rollout. You need to reboot the system to work with Chat from Microsoft Teams.
With the help of Microsoft Teams, you can interact wi your friends and family. You just need to click on the Chat icon in the Taskbar or via WIN+C keyboard shortcut. You will view most recent individual and group conversations including the ability to start a new chat or call. You will receive native notifications and will be able to respond directly inline to text chats.
You will be able to accept or reject the calls by examining the notifications. Windows 11 eliminates the usage of special codes. You just need to send a message to the relevant email address or phone number. If your friend is not using Microsoft Teams, they will receive an invitation to join the Teams network.

You can sync existing Skype or Microsoft Outlook contacts. It’s also possible to sync contacts from your smartphone by installing the Teams mobile app and activating contact sync. With Chat from Microsoft Teams, you can invite others to a group chat or video call by copying the relevant link.
You can take advantage of multi-tasking including the ability to share the whole screen or any Window with your friends and colleagues during a meeting. You can copy and paste across several apps easily into chats and meetings. It’s also possible to share photos, videos, and other related files via drag and drop technology. The Chat from Microsoft Teams will have rounded corners, effects, and visuals, which sync with the overall Windows 11 experience with support for both light and dark modes.
With the help of Microsoft Teams, your friends will be able to participate directly in chats and meetings from any device while taking advantage of the rich features of Windows 11. The native clients are available for Android, iOS, Windows 10, Mac, and Linux.
