Microsoft has announced the immediate availability of the much-awaited Android apps on Windows 11 Preview for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel. This is the first preview release of Android apps and will be available only to Beta Channel Windows Insiders in the US. The update will be available via Windows Subsystem for Android version 1.7.32815.0 and to those who have installed Windows 11 Build 22000.xxx series builds.
The first condition to receive Android apps is that you should be running Windows 11 Build 22000.xxx series builds. Moreover, you should meet the hardware requirements outlined by the company. You should enable virtualization for your PC’s BIOS/UEFI. You should be running Microsoft Store version 22110.1402.6.0 or higher.
You can check for updates to Microsoft Store by navigating to your Library and selecting the “Get updates” button. You should configure your PC region to the US. Moreover, you should be in the Windows Insiders Beta Channel.

If you are yet not a member of Windows Insider program, you can join by navigating to Settings | Windows Update section. You should opt for Beta channel to receive Android apps. Finally, you need a US-based Amazon account to work with the Amazon Appstore.
The next step is to navigate to Amazon Appstore on the Microsoft Store, which will guide you through the steps to verify if your device meets the minimum system requirements. The system also configures the environment and discovers new Android apps and games.
The new component that leverages the power of Android apps on Windows 11 via the Amazon Appstore is called the Windows Subsystem for Android. You will view a relevant listing under your Start menu, where you can adjust specific settings for the experience. Microsoft will push updates for the Windows Subsystem for Android via the Microsoft Store. The Amazon Appstore automatically launch after restart and you can launch it from the Start menu.
