Microsoft Pushes Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 To Dev Channel Windows Insiders

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The main highlight of the build is the addition of support for ARM64 PCs. The relevant ISO packages for the ARM64 PC build have been made available on the official Windows Insider Preview Downloads page. Microsoft also announced that Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 is the final flight before the product teams head over to Christmas and New Year holidays.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 has rolled out snap groups in ALT+TAB and Task View just like when you hover open apps on the Taskbar. The update has added two new options named “Add media server” or “Remove media server” when you open File Explorer by selecting This PC option from the left side navigation panel.

The Programs & features in Control Panel will now open via settings | Apps | Installed Apps. This is as part of the ongoing efforts to bring settings from Control Panel into the settings app. Moreover, the Uninstall Updates option has been moved from Control Panel to a new page in Settings located under Settings | Windows Update | Update History.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 has resolved bug fixes related to Taskbar, File Explorer, Spotlight collection, Input, Widgets, Settings and others. The update has fixed an issue related to text input initialization that could lead to the shell becoming non-responsive on ARM64 PCs. The battery icon tooltip should no longer show more than 100 percent. The App icons should no longer overlap the date & time on secondary monitors when there are several open apps.

If you are already part of the Dev Channel, you should be able to automatically download Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22523 via OTA. If you navigate to Windows Update page inside settings, you will be able to locate the update. You can start the installation after the update is completely downloaded from the Power option.
