Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22557 Introduces a Secret Feature

Windows 11

IN a secret move, Microsoft brings back estimated installation time in Start | Power in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22557. The new entry is available in Update and shut down & Update and restart. However, the estimated timing is not accurate and the system says “up to 0 min”. As of this writing, we can’t judge the correct estimated installation time using this new feature.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22563 update also downloaded on the background and is waiting for installation. We are not sure as to whether the estimated time for installtion is as a result of the installation. However, this is the first time we are seeing this feature after downloading Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22563 build.

Power Option

We expect Microsoft to refine this feature in the upcoming builds. This feature was made available in the previous Windows Insider Preview build but was abandoned due to unknown reasons. Microsoft revealed at that time that the product team is working to address feedback from the community.
