Working with Doodleoze
To work with Doodleoze, you should download the relevant installer from the members area. The app is available for both Windows and Mac platforms. You will have to provide the license key and the app opens as shown below
The Doodleoze dashboard comprises various elements. You should select Create Project option from the Toolbar. You should provide a suitable project name and select “Create” button.
You will be able to view that other options on the Toolbar, timeline, and those on the left side are now activated. The first step is to add a scene to your project and for this purpose, you have to select the large-sized “+” icon located below the toolbar.
Technically, a scene is also referred to as slide. You have to select “Create New Scene” button to add a scene to your project.
A new scene or slide will be added to the dashboard along with other options. You can add text, doodle, bitmap image, video, animated GIF, audio, and other modules. We noticed that the scene window looks small.
You can add text by selecting “Add Text” button. The placeholder for the text will appear on the scene. You can add the required content and adjust the font styles from the properties window located on the right side.
You can add doodles by selecting “Add Doodle” button. The whole list of Doodles will be displayed separated by categories. You can select a doodle and it will be added inside the scene. You can also upload your own doodles in SVG format by selecting the “Browse For Sketch” button. We observed that doodles take some time to load completely.
You can add additional scenes by selecting the “+” button. However, we found that additional scenes were not visible on the timeline.
Conclusion
It will take time for you to become familiar with the user interface and its elements. The learning curve is higher for Doodleoze app. You will not be able to easily create videos but you can do that slowly. The user interface looks like a very old application and the UI fonts look very small. We would not recommend Doodleoze if you are a beginner. The app is capable and you will be able to create a video after several attempts. It’s not an easy app like other competing tools but will not consume significant bandwidth because the Doodleoze is a Windows-based desktop app.
